The set of materials presented in this book is intended for non-Punjabi speakers or foreigners who want to learn Punjabi. Each lesson is supplemented with vocabulary, hints for teachers, hints for learners, grammatical explanations, and extra supplements for self-practice. The introduction gives detailed information on classroom teaching techniques, guidelines for self-study, as also hints for the organizers of language teaching courses. The conversations are given both in Gurmukhi and phonetic scripts along with separate chapters on Punjabi.
