Punjabi Primer- A Course in Programmed Learning

Default Title

Ujjal Singh Bahri's Punjabi Primer, an introduction to learning the writing system of Punjabi in Gurmukhi script, is an excellent handbook which introduces the Gurmukhi letters with corresponding Punjabi sounds in a gradual, systematic manner. Mr. Bahri has taken care to lead the learner of the script slowly in both phonetic and graphemic progression. The writing is learnt as one learns a language, i.e. as it comes along, in specific situations of visual and semantic references. The Primer thus fills an important void in the teaching of Punjabi language.
