Students' English-Punjabi Dictionary
The Students' English-Punjabi Dictionary has been prepared by British-trained linguist Gurkirpal Singh Sekhon, Professor if English and General Linguistics in the Department of English at Punjabi University, Patiala. Written in lucid and simple language, the dictionary contains more than 15,000 entries and is intended for students in high schools, early college/university stages, and any novice readers.
For a thorough understanding of the semantic range of words, Prof. Sekhon has added places at sentences and phrases to illustrate where in the world the words are being used. The advantage of phonetic transcription provided after every word becomes all more apparent in view of globalization.
