This book is a collection of thirty-five research papers brought, in honor of Dr. Ravindra N. Sharma, Dean of the Library at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey, USA.  It attempt to analyze the different aspects of South Asian librarianship, and highlights the wide-ranging contributions of Dr. Sharma towards the development of library and information science. Various contributors address issues concerning library and information science education, problems and prospects of University libraries, National and Public libraries and special libraries; information systems and networks; bibliographical control; and technical services.
